Barrier Repair Serum uses a pure form of hyaluronic acid. It also has among the lowest trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL) values, as the hyaluronic acid holds moisture escaping through the skin at the surface. Hyaluronic acid is fantastic for hydration. It can hold 1,000 times its own weight in water.
Hyaluronic acid: occurs naturally in the dermis. It is plentiful in newborns and diminishes as we age. Decreasing hyaluronic acid correlates closely with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
